- Sr Database Administrator responsible for managing critical databases and providing support for DLA's mission. Seeking experienced candidates with a strong database administration background.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level database administration services for mission-critical Defense Business Systems supporting DLA Disposition Services
- Manage databases across DISA, J64 TFS, and Azure GovCloud environments
- Conduct quality control and auditing of databases
- Advise users on access to various client/server databases
- Research and analyze Database Management System (DBMS) software/patch/upgrade availability
- Provide database backups and recoveries
- Participate in all phases of COOP planning as needed
- Administer application databases across DISA, J64 TFS and Azure GovCloud
- Assist stakeholders in resolving issues/concerns/problems regarding database access and availability
Requirements
- 10 years of progressive experience with database query languages such as Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access
- 10 years of hands-on experience and expertise in Relational Database Management Systems
- Experience in at least two projects in a large organization responsible for administering, operating, maintaining, and securing large-scale computer databases with Oracle, SSRS, and SQL Server
- Expert-level proficiency in Oracle database administration
- Advanced PL/SQL and SQL Server skills
- SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) configuration and troubleshooting
- Experience with MS Access
- Experience with DISA environments
- Familiarity with J64 TFS and Azure GovCloud platforms
- Understanding of database backup and recovery procedures
- Knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Proficiency in data management, cleansing, and reporting
- Knowledge of DoD/DLA processes, policies, and procedures
- Understanding of Section 508 compliance requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite for documentation
