About the role

  • Inside Sales Representative managing order processing and customer inquiries for Xylem, a leading water technology company. Focused on delivering excellent customer service and effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for order processing and sales-related support to both internal and external customers
  • Provide legendary customer service including prompt and thorough responses to customer inquiries
  • Coordinate all aspects of order management from pricing & quoting, order entry, delivery, and invoicing
  • Receive customer inquiries, verify/identify parts against original pump specifications, and obtain current part costs
  • Prepare and send proposals to internal or external customers
  • Review customer orders for accuracy against proposals and gather required customer information
  • Maintain accurate records for costs and selling prices

Requirements

  • College degree, preferably in a technical field OR 2+ years of equivalent work experience in a customer support position
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Prior experience providing customer support and supporting projects
  • Technical aptitude: ability to understand bills of materials and technical drawings
  • Basic Math Skills
  • Able to engage with suppliers to obtain quotations and support parts and service proposals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse workforce and customer base in a matrixed organization
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
