About the role
- Project Leader managing R&D projects in development and product lifecycle for a leading water technology company. Leading interdisciplinary teams and ensuring successful project delivery while addressing technical and quality challenges.
Responsibilities
- Lead interdisciplinary project teams composed of R&D, Product Management, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Quality Management, Customer Service, Service, production planning (AV), assembly, etc.
- Take the lead in developing the technical project/product definition together with the Product Manager
- Develop and document the conceptual solution for development tasks, including preparing developer specification documents where required; schedule and cost planning
- Provide technical and procedural support to members of internal and external R&D project teams in an international environment
- Extensive project management (coordination of all activities, monitoring progress) including reporting, implementing corrective actions for deviations from plan, and leading the project teams
- Product launch support for manufacturing and repair, including conducting training
- Technical product ownership of the assigned product lines across the entire product lifecycle, e.g., handling manufacturing, procurement and quality issues; carrying out tasks and projects in value engineering
- Technology monitoring (observing, evaluating and identifying technologies relevant to the technical environment of the assigned product lines)
Requirements
- Degree in engineering or comparable qualification
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable position
- In-depth knowledge of project management and of leading interdisciplinary project teams from a specialist perspective
- Advantageous: experience in measurement technology and/or optical devices
- Strong, structured and organized working style as well as analytical thinking
- Excellent communication skills, flexibility and assertiveness
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
