About the role

  • Assistant Clubs Administrator at McMaster Students Union acting as liaison for clubs and ensuring effective communication with over 300 clubs on campus. Managing space and event planning while assisting in risk management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between the Clubs Department and MSU clubs
  • Answer all inquiries received in person, via phone, or email
  • Manage space for clubs
  • Assist in events/communications
  • Assist in risk management/EOHSS
  • Act as the Chair of the Clubs Advisory Council

Requirements

  • Interpersonal skills required to effectively interact with staff, volunteers, club members and the CAC
  • Must have a thorough understanding of the Clubs Department in order to provide accurate information
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and email programs required to fulfill many of the communications functions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Ability to remain impartial and keep confidentiality with regards to personnel and clubs’ issues
