About the role

• Product Owner driving product vision and strategy at WSD for major investment banks. Leading client engagements and managing backlog to ensure delivery of high-value solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product leadership to shape the product vision and translate high-level business goals into clear, actionable plans for the development team.
• Act as the main point of contact for our enterprise clients. Proactively guide conversations, manage expectations, and translate their needs into product features.
• Look for ways to standardize product features, workflows, and technical solutions across our client base to improve efficiency and scale our offerings.
• Maintain a healthy, prioritized list of work. Make firm decisions on what gets built and when, balancing client requests with team capacity and strategic goals.
• Serve as the decisive link between our business, operations, and technical teams to ensure everyone is aligned on the product's direction.
• Work closely with developers and QA to clarify requirements, define success criteria, and ensure the final product hits the mark.
• Look at data pipelines, system outputs, and user behavior to see what is working, what isn’t, and how to improve the product.
• Define what "done" looks like for every feature and ensure the end product meets the high standards of our clients.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory shifts in the financial sector to keep our products competitive and compliant.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or a strong Business Analyst who is ready to step up and take ownership.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with large enterprise clients, confidently steer meetings, and say "no" when necessary to protect the product vision.
• Deep understanding of Agile ways of working and practical experience managing backlogs with tools like Jira.
• The ability to explain complex technical concepts in plain business language, and vice versa.
• Familiarity with APIs, data integrations, and modern data setups.
• Experience in financial services, regulatory environments, or enterprise software is highly preferred.
• You don't wait to be told what to do; you proactively find ways to improve the product and the process.
