About the role
- Product Owner managing development tasks for banking products in Prague. Coordinating teams and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders in an agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of development assignments in the form of clear tasks based on inputs from Figma and business requirements (user stories) provided by the bank
- Providing guidance and support to the development team during the implementation of assigned tasks
- Reviewing and validating backend service proposals delivered by external suppliers
- Verifying and reproducing reported issues from a user perspective (e.g. testing on a mobile device)
- Coordinating team activities and ensuring smooth progress of development
- Planning and managing releases, including their scope and timing
- Ensuring availability and management of inputs and materials from the bank and other suppliers required for development
- Handling situations where required inputs are delayed and defining alternative priorities and next steps
Requirements
- Experience in a Product Owner, Project Manager, or similar role
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear development tasks (working with Figma, user stories)
- Ability to communicate with developers and support them during implementation
- Understanding of technical designs (e.g. backend services) and ability to review them
- Experience in team coordination and managing activities across multiple stakeholders
- Ability to plan and manage releases (scope, timing)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively
- Proactive approach and ability to drive things forward even in a less structured environment
- Experience working in an agile environment (Scrum) and basic understanding of how effective Scrum should work
- Ability to manage dependencies (e.g. on client or suppliers) and adapt to changes
- Analytical thinking and ability to find alternative solutions when inputs are incomplete
