About the role

  • Professional Engineer overseeing transportation design and coordination of engineering projects at WSB. Collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality service for public and private clients in Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and coordination of roadway, drainage, and utility projects for our public and private clients
  • Collaborate with other groups/ disciplines within the company to deliver top quality projects and unparalleled service to our clients
  • Perform design calculations, quantity and cost estimates, and plan preparation
  • Compile, write, and edit quality technical reports, feasibility reports, letters, memos and specifications for projects
  • Assist with proposals, project budgets and schedules, planning activities, and public involvement and other presentation opportunities
  • Oversee and manage the work of EITs or Technicians
  • Provide guidance and training to EITs
  • Review design plans prepared by internal staff and/or subconsultants
  • Prepare meeting notes, project documentation and
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to ensure that projects are delivered within prescribed time frames and budgets
  • Regular communication with the client, subconsultant and internal staff to meet project requirements and timeline

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or similar degree from an accredited school
  • 5-10 years of experience in Transportation / Municipal engineering
  • TX PE license or the ability to obtain their license within six months
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Strong experience with Open Roads Modeling
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week
  • Ability to work in McKinney, TX
