About the role

  • Technology Manager leading technical operations across BYU-Pathway’s Global Education Centers. Overseeing technology systems implementation and providing high-quality support for educational operations.

Responsibilities

  • Train and support GEC Technology Coordinators (TCs) in all aspects of GEC technology operations, including hardware setup, software deployment, and troubleshooting
  • Develop, refine, and enforce technology standards across all GECs. Lead the technical setup and launch of new centers to ensure full compliance with organizational standards
  • Oversee daily technology operations at GECs, working closely with TCs to resolve issues efficiently and improve overall system performance
  • Host regular meetings with TCs to share lessons learned, surface challenges, and disseminate best practices across the global network
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to manage technology-related projects, deployments, and upgrades
  • Oversee GEC technology hardware and software budgets

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or similar
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Management, Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT operations, technology training, or systems administration
  • Ability to provide highly available business-class internet service
  • Ability to deploy and manage Windows and Chrome computers
  • Experience working across multiple remote locations or international teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a distributed team
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in educational technology environments
  • Experience working in or supporting operations in Africa or the Philippines
  • Understanding of African and Filipino cultures
  • French and/or Portuguese language proficiency
  • Experience with Faronics and Skedda software solutions
  • Experience managing relationships with technology vendors
