About the role

  • Onboarding Optimization Manager managing recruitment and onboarding for frontline employees in transportation logistics at WM. Ensuring workforce planning and retention strategies are effectively executed.

Responsibilities

  • Manages daily driver candidate interviews
  • Partners with multiple sites to provide realistic job previews
  • Manages logistics of scheduling on-site interviews
  • Responsible for weekly new employee onboarding training
  • Leads workforce planning and staffing goals for sites
  • Oversees candidate offer process
  • Investigates employee turnover reasons and provides feedback
  • Assists in the creation and execution of retention strategies
  • Creates and submits weekly and month-end reports to management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience
  • 3 years previous operations management experience in transportation, logistics, or solid waste operations
  • 3 years’ experience interviewing and hiring CDL Drivers and other frontline positions
  • Valid Driver's License
