Responsibilities
- Manages the full fleet of primary and secondary equipment within the assigned area
- Continually focuses on achieving market base profitability through effective management of all fleet and maintenance activities
- Reviews capital equipment requisitions
- Ensures safe and reliable vehicles
- Manages effective utilization of vehicle assets
- Conducts fleet evaluations
- Ensures maintenance standards are met
- Ensures maintenance shops are adequately staffed
- Complies with and ensures adherence to WM’s Mission to Zero standards
- Meets financial review dates and corporate directed programs
- Assists in budget process
- Ensures cleanliness of maintenance shops
- Oversees personnel needs of the department
- Contributes to periodic driver/safety meetings
- Provides training and presentations
- Updates and submits required reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree , or equivalent experience
- 7 years to ten years previous experience.
- Valid driver’s license required.
