About the role

  • Service Charge Manager overseeing a commercial service charge portfolio at Cooper Parry. Leading financial processes and managing a high-performing team in Birmingham.

Responsibilities

  • Owning a commercial service charge portfolio, acting as the main client contact and ensuring delivery in line with RICS and industry standards
  • Reviewing higher‑risk service charge accounts, providing technical oversight and guidance where it matters most
  • Leading fees, billing and revenue management, including forecasting, WIP review and month‑end processes
  • Support in managing and developing the service charge team, setting priorities, overseeing resourcing
  • Improving systems, processes and growth within the team

Requirements

  • Strong background in service charge accounting, ideally across both commercial and residential portfolios
  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in managing and developing staff members within a fast‑paced environment
  • Confident in financial oversight, forecasting and billing processes
  • Proficient with workflow and finance systems
  • Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working under pressure to meet multiple deadlines
