About the role
- Head of Metering Operations leading a central department with around 40 employees in the energy industry. Focused on strategic development, process improvement, and digitalization in energy metering operations.
Responsibilities
- Technical and disciplinary management of the Metering Operations department – overseeing the Energy Data Management, Switching Process Management and Installation Management teams.
- Direct leadership of three team managers and overall responsibility for approximately 40 employees.
- Responsibility for the operational implementation of metering point operations and for ensuring legally compliant processes.
- Develop strategic objectives together with divisional management and translate them into practical, implementable concepts.
- Actively drive the further development, standardization and digitalization of departmental processes.
- Close collaboration with other department heads and cross-departmental involvement in central topics.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in a leadership role at middle-management level, ideally in the energy sector or in a similarly complex, regulated environment.
- Solid understanding of processes and legal/regulatory requirements, ideally with prior experience in metering point operations or energy market processes.
- Modern leadership approach: provide direction, create accountability, and lead respectfully and on equal terms.
- Strategic vision, ability to shape change, and proven experience in digitizing processes.
- Structured and solution-oriented working style, ability to set clear priorities and act proactively.
- Willingness to be regularly present at the Ruderting (near Passau) location.
