About the role

  • Marketing and Communications Intern at Waséyabek assisting in content creation and project management. Engaging with teams across departments for various marketing and communications initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit content for a variety of platforms, including the Waséyabek Intranet, NHBP’s Turtle Press, and more.
  • Audit Waséyabek suite of websites for content, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and clarity.
  • Develop content for distribution on Waséyabek’s social media channels.
  • Offer suggestions for enhancement on Waséyabek’s social media strategy.
  • Provide project management support for Waséyabek’s third-party vendors (public relations, video, and graphic design).
  • Develop innovative strategic marketing and communications approaches for immediate or potential adoption by Waséyabek or its family of companies.
  • Other marketing and communications duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Sophomore standing or higher is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong writer with the ability to deliver effective messaging through storytelling.
  • Strict attention to detail, especially concerning the written word.
  • Basic understanding of the Adobe software suite (Creative Cloud), including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, and Acrobat.
  • Experience with photography, videography, and website design (WordPress and Elementor/Divi).
  • A deep commitment to understanding others and a drive to consistently deliver high-quality results.
