About the role

  • Data Analyst responsible for creating and managing BI dashboards for Walmart Global Tech. Collaborating with stakeholders and utilizing advanced AI tools for data insights and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, publish, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to support executive and operational decision-making
  • Administer Power BI Service (workspaces, deployment pipelines/Apps) with robust processes for refresh schedules, access controls, and versioning; implement RLS where appropriate
  • Develop high-quality data models (star/snowflake) optimized for performance, maintainability, and future reuse.
  • Write complex SQL (CTEs, window functions, stored procedures) for large datasets; tune queries and optimize execution plans for reliability and speed.
  • Create advanced DAX measures and Power Query transformations; apply BI best practices for model design, visuals, and performance optimization.
  • Document solutions and enforce BI governance, ensuring dashboards are scalable, accurate, and well-documented.
  • Engage stakeholders to define KPIs, translate business requirements into analytical specs, and iterate based on feedback to drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Leverage AI-powered analytics tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI GPT, or similar) to automate data preparation, generate insights, and enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Stay updated on advancements in AI and machine learning relevant to business intelligence, and proactively identify opportunities to integrate these technologies into analytics workflows.

Requirements

  • Graduate/Post Graduate in any discipline with strong technical understanding and advanced knowledge of finance & reporting
  • 5–7 years of experience in analytics/BI
  • Expert-level Power BI skills (DAX, Power Query, data modeling).
  • Experience managing Power BI Service environments and Apps (workspace administration, deployments).
  • Advanced SQL proficiency working with large, complex datasets; comfort with stored procedures and performance tuning.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills; high ownership from design to delivery.
  • Solid understanding of data governance/quality and BI best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools (such as Copilot, GPT, or other generative AI platforms) to streamline data analysis, automate repetitive tasks, and support decision-making.
  • Ability to evaluate and implement emerging AI technologies to drive innovation in business intelligence and financial analytics.
