Responsibilities
**About the role**
Are you looking to help support the global energy transition whilst leveraging your data story-telling and project management skills? As an early member of the geographically dispersed Data Team within the Software Solutions team at Aurora, you will do exactly that by taking ownership of data dashboard strategy and execution. You will work closely with other teams at Aurora to flesh out the strategy, scope data requirements, plan development effort, QA and launch dashboards across all Aurora markets. These dashboards complement our Subscription services and Software products used by the movers, shakers and policy makers in the industry. It is an exciting opportunity to work on several aspects of the data lifecycle while supporting the larger global energy transformation.
Requirements
**Required attributes:**
At least 1 year of experience in conceptualizing, designing, and building dashboards.
Minimum 1 year of experience with relational and/or columnar databases, proficient in extracting and transforming data using SQL.
**Demonstrated experience** in Python programming for data integration tasks, including working with configuration formats such as YAML and JSON.
Familiarity with industry-standard data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
**Desirable attributes:**
Familiarity with power models.
Understanding of **data modelling concepts**, including star/snowflake schemas, normalization, and ETL pipeline
Knowledge of **version control** (e.g., Git) and **agile development practices**.
