About the role
- Senior Financial Accountant overseeing financial management and reporting in a pioneering recycling technology company. Responsible for financial statement preparation and compliance with HGB regulations.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for accounts receivable management, including process design, dunning/collections and coordination with sales and service
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, as well as valuation of outstanding receivables and inventories
- Execution of central financial accounting tasks (accounts payable, accounts receivable, travel expense accounting, fixed asset accounting, bank postings, electronic payment runs)
- Regular reporting and analyses, e.g. aging analyses, key performance indicators, VAT reconciliations
- Management of guarantee business and support for group-wide consolidation matters
- Participation in day-to-day operations and acting as the contact person for accounting issues under German GAAP (HGB) and tax regulations
- Continuous process optimization and support for digitalization initiatives
Requirements
- Degree in business administration with a focus on Finance/Accounting or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in finance and accounting, ideally in an internationally operating manufacturing company
- Confident handling of HGB financial statements and solid knowledge of balance sheet accounting
- Strong IT affinity and experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Excellent German and English skills
- Structured, independent and analytical working style, with strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally to sites within Germany
