About the role

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the behavior of simulated robots or agents using video and sensor data
  • Develop AI methods to detect faults, anomalies, or unexpected behavior patterns
  • Develop concepts for new application scenarios in the field of robotics
  • Collaborate with other researchers on ongoing projects

Requirements

  • Master's students in a STEM degree program, e.g., Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or similar fields
  • Strong knowledge of Python and C++
  • Initial practical experience working with LLMs and/or VLMs
  • Initial experience in a ROS/ROS2 environment
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Computer Vision & Deep Learning (PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV), robotics or agent simulation (NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, Gazebo, etc.), neural networks or reinforcement learning
  • Understanding of image processing, object detection, tracking, or scene interpretation
