About the role
- Engineering Application Architect developing and enhancing integrated engineering systems at Vogelsang. Focusing on 3D data integration and digital process optimization.
Responsibilities
- Strategically develop the engineering and product data system landscape (CAD, PDM/PLM, ERP, CPQ) and design an end-to-end architecture to support technical product development and change processes
- Define and technically support the integration, use and downstream processing of 3D data such as CAD models, visualizations and derived assets across the entire product lifecycle
- Identify digitization and automation opportunities in the configuration and order processing workflow and translate them into robust technical concepts
- Design, implement and sustainably stabilize data flows between different engineering applications
- Act as the central contact for external service providers to coordinate and manage bug fixes and new features
- Produce technical concepts and oversee, test and accept external developments from a subject-matter perspective
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, (Business) Informatics or a comparable technical qualification
- Experience working with 3D data and CAD models and integrating them into PDM and downstream systems
- Interest in digitization, automation and the continuous improvement of digital engineering processes
- Solid experience with ERP and PDM systems, ideally proALPHA and Gain
- Experience with interfaces, data structures and technical integrations
- Fluent German skills and ideally good English skills
