Responsibilities
Assess Needs & Develop Service Plans
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify veterans’ strengths, challenges, and goals
Develop and implement individualized service plans tailored to each veteran’s employment, housing, and supportive service needs
Employment & Financial Stability Support
Connect veterans to job training, employment opportunities, and supportive services
Conduct financial assessments and provide budgeting guidance to promote financial stability
Housing Assistance & Stability
Assist veterans in securing safe and stable housing
Support veterans in accessing housing subsidies, utility assistance, and other resources to maintain stability
Resource Coordination & Supportive Services
Assist veterans in navigating VA benefits, Social Security, and other public assistance programs
Maintain accurate case files, documentation, and reporting in compliance with program requirements
Advocate for veterans’ rights and needs, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate assistance
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in the area of human and/or social services or the behavioral sciences
Licensed Social Worker designation is highly preferred
Education and/or verifiable work experience with at-risk populations is required (homeless, veterans, behavioral health, drug/alcohol addiction, employment, youth, residential)
