Acting as Mobile Access Engineer for high visibility special projects at Vivo. Ensuring technical excellence and operational efficiency for the best customer experience.
Responsibilities
Work in mobile access engineering (RAN/RF) for high-criticality, high-visibility special projects, ensuring technical excellence, scope efficiency and the best network experience for Vivo customers.
Prepare RF (RAN) designs for indoor and outdoor solutions, including high-visibility and high-criticality special projects (e.g., events, stadiums, trade shows, concerts and large public gatherings, high-end residential complexes, tourist regions and areas with infrastructure or cost restrictions).
Perform coverage, capacity and quality analyses to define the technical solution (outdoor/indoor, macro, micro/small cells, passive/active DAS/FTTA, Lampsite/DOT, C-RAN when applicable), ensuring the best customer experience.
Size technical scope and requirements (site sizing, sectors/carriers/bands/technologies) and support prioritization according to criticality, deadlines and operational impact.
Act as the technical interface with multiple internal areas and multi-vendor suppliers, ensuring adherence to standards, deadlines, delivery quality and cost optimization.
Analyze, approve and/or prepare indoor technical projects focused on B2C or corporate B2B services, understanding the solutions, vendors and processes necessary for project progression.
Integrate different data sources (KPIs, CM/PM data, drive/walk tests, crowdsourcing, GIS analyses) for evidence-based decision making, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain dashboards and automation routines to monitor special projects, status, quality and performance (Excel, Power BI, Python, Office 365).
Ensure alignment with internal standards, governance and, where applicable, regulatory and compliance requirements, working collaboratively with technical, commercial and strategic teams.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Networks, Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronic, Computer or related fields), with proven experience in RAN.
Strong experience in Mobile Access Engineering (RAN/RF), with mastery of coverage, capacity and quality concepts in 4G/5G networks.
Experience in high-visibility, high-criticality special projects involving indoor and outdoor solutions (e.g., events, stadiums, trade shows, concerts, tourist regions and areas with infrastructure/cost restrictions).
Ability to define and evaluate technical solutions such as macro, micro/small cells, DAS (passive/active/FTTA), Lampsite/DOT and architectures such as C-RAN, when applicable.
Knowledge of RAN solutions from vendors such as Ericsson and Huawei (minimum requirement).
Experience in performance analysis based on network KPIs (PM/CM), as well as interpretation of reports and field evidence (drive/walk tests, when applicable).
Good ability to prepare and read technical documentation (specifications, technical scope, maps, acceptance criteria and executive reports).
Proficiency with tools and routines for data-driven decision making, including: Excel and PowerPoint for day-to-day analyses and executive reporting; Office 365 for productivity and collaboration (SharePoint, Planner, Teams, Power BI) and practical use of Copilot.
Familiarity with territorial analysis applied to RF engineering (maps, layers, clusters) and with prediction/design/simulation tools: Atoll, QGIS, iBwave (or equivalents).
AI-assisted programming for automation applied to engineering: Python (data manipulation, automations and analysis routines) and/or SQL.
Experience integrating multiple data sources for engineering, such as crowdsourcing + network KPIs + geodata, with a focus on correlation and prioritization of actions.
Ability to manipulate data and produce analyses to support technical decisions in RAN projects.
Familiarity and practical experience with AI applied to RAN (e.g., copilots, analysis assistants, automation of routines, insight generation and technical summarization), with a mindset focused on productivity and quality improvement.
