About the role
- Financial Controller overseeing US and Canada Funds business for Vistra. Managing core accounting, reporting, treasury, and tax functions with significant growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Directs the day-to-day accounting activities and accounting operational functions
- Effectively leads and manages month-end, year-end close processes
- Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the financial statements
- Recommend and develop improvements to company’s revenue accounting
- Prepare federal and state tax provisions for book reporting purposes
- Provide support with insightful analysis on monthly financial results
- Perform treasury functions
- Plays a lead role with general ledger system conversion
- Develop, implement and document policies, procedures, controls and SOPs
- Trains, mentors and manages accounting staff
Requirements
- 10 years of experience
- 4 years as a proven, high-performing controller
- CPA desirable, but not mandatory
- Exposure to Financial Services sector preferred
- Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Accounting
- Experience SAP S/4HANA preferred
