About the role
- Maintenance Accounting Manager overseeing accounting across Vista operators. Responsible for financial reporting, governance, and leading a small accounting team in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for maintenance-related accounting across Vista operators
- Ensure appropriate accounting treatment for maintenance costs, accruals and prepayments
- Maintain governance over maintenance-related balance sheet accounts
- Review and approve journals and accounting outputs prepared across the maintenance finance team
- Ensure maintenance accounting inputs into management and statutory reporting are accurate
- Act as the primary accounting point of contact for maintenance during internal and external audits
- Liaise with Group Accounting, Tax, and Finance teams to ensure alignment with Group policies and IFRS requirements
- Promote consistency of maintenance accounting practices across operators and jurisdictions
- Own and maintain the maintenance accounting control framework
- Ensure appropriate review, sign-off, and quality controls are applied across maintenance accounting activities
- Lead and develop a team of two maintenance accountants
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- 7+ years’ post-qualification experience in financial accounting, controllership, or finance manager roles
- Strong technical accounting and audit knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong Excel skills; ERP and aviation or engineering exposure advantageous
