About the role
- Fund Accounting Manager responsible for accounting operations and client engagement. Overseeing fund setups, valuation reporting, and ensuring compliance with government regulations in hedge and private equity industries.
Responsibilities
- As the main contact for clients, demonstrate expertise in offshore and domestic fund accounting.
- Manage team delegation of funds, coordinate onboarding of new fund setups, and serve as liaison between clients and internal teams.
- Generate and reconcile all accounting reporting, such as month-end valuation reports.
- Review and approve month-end valuations prior to distribution to client with a goal of 100% accuracy.
- Authorize wire payments from fund’s escrow accounts.
- Conduct performance appraisals, monthly one-on-ones, and provide career pathing and training.
Requirements
- BA / BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the fund services industry, alternatives experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory or management experience.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
