About the role

  • Global Marketing Lead managing a team to enhance Verto’s brand and market presence. Focused on driving customer acquisition and facilitating growth in cross-border payments.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Management: Mentoring a team of approximately eight specialists across Content, Design, Performance, ABM, Lifecycle, and Events. Ensure structured, data driven, marketing planning and reporting processes are in place.
  • Acquisition Engine: Developing a scalable inbound engine that accelerates customer acquisition while lowering CAC. Lead the team to develop and execute multi-channel campaigns, targeting our full range of ICPs, to achieve our ambitious acquisition targets.
  • Brand Building: Supporting the development of our global brand proposition and leading high-impact awareness campaigns localized for key markets. Position Verto as a thought leader in the cross-border payments sector.
  • Lifecycle & Product Marketing: Ensuring the required lead nurture journeys are in place to achieve lead conversion targets. Implement cross-sell and retention strategies to maximize CLV. Establish a product marketing framework to drive broader product awareness and adoption.
  • Performance Reporting: Be accountable for customer acquisition, CAC, new customer revenue and marketing ROI performance. Maintain a rigorous approach to monitoring and reporting against key metrics. Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure reporting capabilities are fit for purpose.
  • Marketing Tech: Identify and lead the selection process to fill any gaps in our marketing technology stack. Customer & Competitor Intelligence: Establish a framework to continuously acquire customer insight and monitor the cross-border payments landscape.
  • Operational Excellence: Effective management of marketing budget - using performance data to guide investment decisions. Source and manage external agencies. Implement process improvements and AI-driven ways of working to increase efficiency and delivery speed.

Requirements

  • 7+ years’ experience in B2B marketing, preferably in fintech or payments, with a proven record of building both strong brands and scalable marketing engines
  • Growth Leadership: Proven record of driving growth across both "Product-Led Growth" (SME) and "Sales-Led Growth" (Enterprise) segments.
  • Breadth of marketing expertise: Knowledge of Brand, Product and Performance Marketing.
  • Emerging Markets Expertise: Experience living or working extensively in emerging markets.
  • Agency & Budget management: Experience managing external agencies and annual marketing budgets in excess of £1m.
  • Analytical Prowess: Ability to use data to extract insights and drive high-level decision-making.
  • Strong creative eye: Able to identify what great content, messaging and design looks like
  • Strategic Communication: Strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders across various levels and cultural backgrounds.
  • Builder Mindset: A bias for action and the agility to thrive in a fast-paced scale-up environment.
