About the role

  • Compliance Specialist at VERO responsible for implementing compliance programs. Ensures adherence to regulations and ethical standards through risk assessments and training initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the effectiveness of the company's Compliance Program through the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of its processes, controls and guidelines aligned with the pillars of integrity and market best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to organizational integrity by conducting compliance risk assessments, vulnerability analyses and supporting the definition and monitoring of mitigation plans with the responsible areas.
  • Ensure the Compliance framework is up to date and adhered to by drafting, reviewing and disseminating corporate policies, codes and procedures aligned with current legislation and the company's guidelines.
  • Ensure proper management of the Whistleblower Channel and related investigative processes by monitoring incoming reports, conducting internal investigations and following up on the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Strengthen the culture of ethics and integrity within the organization by delivering training, internal communication initiatives and providing technical guidance to leadership on compliance and corporate conduct matters.
  • Ensure integrity in relationships with third parties by conducting due diligence on suppliers, partners and strategic third parties, as well as implementing the compliance program applicable to the supply chain.
  • Support corporate governance and leadership decision-making by preparing analyses, indicators and executive presentations that report on the performance, vulnerabilities and progress of the Compliance Program to senior management.

Requirements

  • Experience in internal controls, risk management, compliance, consulting or auditing, with experience in large organizations and familiarity with recognized methodologies (COSO, ISO 37000).
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related fields.
