About the role
- Field Engineer role focused on the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment for Defence Munitions. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and assisting in fleet management data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Undertake the repair, maintenance, inspection and servicing of plant and equipment to stipulated company, Original Equipment Manufacturer and current legislative standards
- Ensure equipment meets the contractual requirements and is fit for purpose prior to any use
- Assist the Service and Demand Administrators in maintaining data integrity on the fleet management system
Requirements
- NVQ L2/C&G in a mechanical engineering discipline
- Demonstrable experience, skills and knowledge on construction plant, material handling equipment and/or LGVs
- Ability to work to deadlines and a desire to promote customer service excellence
- Able to communicate to internal and external customers
- Computer literate, basic skills
- Solutions based approach to dealing with technical faults and issues
- Understanding of, and application of, H&S, PUWER & LOLER requirements
- Demonstrate commercial/financial awareness
- Hold a current driving licence
