Maintenance Manager responsible for leading maintenance of critical Airport Baggage Handling System. Focusing on operational leadership, team management, and compliance with SLAs/KPIs.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise BHS maintenance activities.
Manages maintenance teams from Vanderlande, consortium partner and client resources.
Ensure high availability, reliability, and compliance with contractual SLAs/KPIs.
Analyze system performance, failures, and trends; drive corrective and preventive actions including root cause analysis and action closure.
Review maintenance plans, spare parts management, and failure reduction initiatives.
Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits.
Lead regular internal and client review meetings.
Manages manpower deployment and optimize team performance.
Prepare performance reports, forecasts, and dashboards for management and clients.
Review of spare parts availability and status of replenishment.
Ensure compliance with EHS, QMS, and audit requirements as per Vanderlande standards and local regulatory requirements.
Drive training, competency development, and multi-skilling of teams.
Identify and mitigate operational risks, escalate critical issues responsibly, and maintain a culture of transparency and accountability.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or Mechatronics Engineering.
Master’s Degree or professional certifications (PMP, Reliability, EHS) are an advantage.
10+ years of experience in maintenance of automated or material handling systems.
5+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
Strong experience with BHS maintenance and airport operations preferred.
Proven strong client-facing and partner management experience with negotiation and conflict resolution exposure.
