About the role
- Global Costing Controller at Unilabs enhancing costing models and profitability insights. Collaborating with multiple teams to ensure data accuracy and drive decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Support the development, maintenance, and operation of global costing and net profitability models
- Perform detailed cost calculations, allocations, and reconciliations across services, tests, and operational units
- Ensure costing methodologies are correctly applied and documented
- Collect, validate, and consolidate cost and operational data from local markets
- Perform data quality checks, variance analysis, and root-cause investigation
- Ensure consistency of data definitions and adherence to global standards
- Prepare recurring and ad-hoc costing and profitability analyses
- Support the production of dashboards and reports in collaboration with BI teams
- Contribute to margin analysis, cost driver insights, and performance tracking
- Work directly and actively with local finance teams, operations, procurement, and commercial functions
- Support markets in understanding costing outputs and underlying assumptions
- Act as a key point of contact for data-related costing questions from local teams
- Contribute to the development of global costing processes, tools, and documentation
- Support the rollout and adoption of costing methodologies across markets
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Approximately 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in management accounting, controlling, or financial analysis
- Fluent in English
- Hands-on experience with costing, cost allocation, and profitability analysis
- Experience working with large datasets, ERP systems, and BI tools
- Exposure to healthcare, medical diagnostics, or other operationally complex environments is a plus
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail
- Solid understanding of cost structures and operational drivers
- Comfortable working with data, calculations, and financial models
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse, cross-functional stakeholders
