About the role

  • Associate Analyst maintaining data infrastructure and supporting internal stakeholders at T. Rowe Price. Fulfilling data requests and improving data literacy within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Empower internal stakeholders with timely, accurate, and relevant data from financial databases.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of data infrastructure.
  • Fulfill ad-hoc data requests.
  • Enhance data literacy across the organization.
  • Maintain database integrity through routine monitoring, validation, and maintenance tasks.
  • Investigate and resolve data-related issues to ensure data quality.
  • Administer and maintain database permissions and security protocols.
  • Act as a central point of contact for internal data inquiries and requests.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and fulfilling requests.
  • Guide and assist business users on proper use of financial systems and data tools.
  • Generate reports and dashboards using BI visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Create and maintain documentation and instructional guides to improve data literacy.
  • Support the development of self-service data tools and resources.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist with data-related projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Motivated, organized self-starter with a high level of attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and tolerance for ambiguity.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work within cross-functional teams such as Finance, Accounting, and Technology to coordinate and drive priorities and objectives.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • 2–4+ years of experience in data analytics, database maintenance, or a technical support role within financial services (preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis (preferred).
  • Familiarity with data visualization and BI tools like Tableau or Power BI (preferred).
  • Experience with project management tools such as Rally or Jira (preferred).
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python (preferred).
  • Familiarity with financial services data, regulations, and industry concepts (preferred).
  • Experience in a data governance or data strategy function (preferred).
