Responsibilities
Empower internal stakeholders with timely, accurate, and relevant data from financial databases.
Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of data infrastructure.
Fulfill ad-hoc data requests.
Enhance data literacy across the organization.
Maintain database integrity through routine monitoring, validation, and maintenance tasks.
Investigate and resolve data-related issues to ensure data quality.
Administer and maintain database permissions and security protocols.
Act as a central point of contact for internal data inquiries and requests.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and fulfilling requests.
Guide and assist business users on proper use of financial systems and data tools.
Generate reports and dashboards using BI visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Create and maintain documentation and instructional guides to improve data literacy.
Support the development of self-service data tools and resources.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist with data-related projects.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Motivated, organized self-starter with a high level of attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and tolerance for ambiguity.
Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work within cross-functional teams such as Finance, Accounting, and Technology to coordinate and drive priorities and objectives.
Continuous improvement mindset.
2–4+ years of experience in data analytics, database maintenance, or a technical support role within financial services (preferred).
Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis (preferred).
Familiarity with data visualization and BI tools like Tableau or Power BI (preferred).
Experience with project management tools such as Rally or Jira (preferred).
Experience with programming languages such as Python (preferred).
Familiarity with financial services data, regulations, and industry concepts (preferred).
Experience in a data governance or data strategy function (preferred).
