About the role
- VFX Artist responsible for creating real-time visual effects for mobile games at Tripledot. Collaborating with designers and technical leads to enhance game visuals and mechanics.
Responsibilities
- Work with designers, the Art Director, and the technical Lead to establish visual standards and technical specifications of VFX assets for the project.
- Improve the visual quality of the game by creating high-quality real-time visual effects that are performant on mobile.
- Work closely with Tech Art to provide VFX that can be integrated into the mobile game in an efficient and optimized way.
- Review the existing library of visual effects in the game and look for ways to improve optimizations while elevating or maintaining visuals.
- Help communicate gameplay mechanics to the player through VFX elements
- Collaborate with the lead tech artist to creatively solve technical and art pipelines.
- Work with Character, Environment, and UI pipelines to create stunning FX and compelling moments.
Requirements
- Strong portfolio showing examples of VFX for games.
- Excellent 3D experience in one or more software, such as After Effects, Blender, 3D Studio Max, Maya, Softimage
- Good knowledge of Photoshop and texture creation
- Good basic art skills in art fundamentals (colour composition and form)
- Passionate about games
- Unity experience is a plus
