Responsibilities
You will support our clients in operational day-to-day finance tasks such as budget planning, variance analyses (planned vs. actual), ad-hoc analyses, and the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under German GAAP (HGB) and international standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP), thereby gradually building your expertise across all finance areas.
In addition, you will contribute conceptually to projects such as the creation and further development of management reports (e.g., using analytics tools).
Design and implementation of new process structures in general ledger and subledger processes as well as in traditional controlling processes (budgeting, planning, reporting).
Implementation of new accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 16) and drafting of new accounting guidelines.
Requirements
Degree in economics/business administration, ideally with a focus on accounting and controlling, or a comparable commercial qualification.
At least 2–7 years of professional experience in accounting or controlling.
Confident use of a common ERP system (e.g., SAP or DATEV) and good MS Office skills.
Willingness to travel as required for consulting assignments.
Team player with strong communication skills and pronounced analytical abilities.
Fluent German language skills.
High degree of initiative and enjoyment of working independently on projects.
