About the role

  • Administrative Assistant responsible for clerical functions and administrative support in the Parks & Recreation Division. Managing schedules and assisting with budget administration.

Responsibilities

  • Perform varied administrative duties and clerical functions
  • Provide work direction and training to assigned staff
  • Handle scheduling of appointments and provide appropriate information
  • Conduct background research and retrieve information
  • Monitor and control the workflow of the unit
  • Prepare and process various documents and reports
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and schedules

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related discipline
  • Experience in providing administrative assistance to senior management
  • Considerable experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with SAP (SuccessFactors) and ServiceNow
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to take minutes and handle confidential materials
