About the role

  • Indirect Sourcing Manager overseeing procurement strategies for The Toro Company. Leading sourcing initiatives and relationships with suppliers to improve cost, quality, and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary liaison to suppliers within the Supply Transformation program scope
  • Provide sourcing category expertise for all related categories
  • Responsible for delivering results and leading strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Develop sustainable strategies for moderate to highly complex vendors/categories
  • Evaluate current market conditions on a regular basis
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with suppliers and internal customers
  • Promote collaboration of sourcing personnel with internal and external customers and suppliers
  • Own your own portfolio of projects that deliver savings and process improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area, such as supply chain, business, or STEM
  • Proven ability to think strategically
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiation
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical abilities and research skills
  • Understanding of enterprise purchasing and planning systems, such as SAP
  • Masters Degree preferred in a related field is preferred
  • Institute of Supply Management (ISM) certification (CPSM, CPM) or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in sourcing globally (Mexico, China, India, and Europe) strongly desired.
  • Prior experience in SAP is preferred.
