About the role
- Indirect Sourcing Manager overseeing procurement strategies for The Toro Company. Leading sourcing initiatives and relationships with suppliers to improve cost, quality, and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Act as a primary liaison to suppliers within the Supply Transformation program scope
- Provide sourcing category expertise for all related categories
- Responsible for delivering results and leading strategic sourcing initiatives
- Develop sustainable strategies for moderate to highly complex vendors/categories
- Evaluate current market conditions on a regular basis
- Establish and strengthen relationships with suppliers and internal customers
- Promote collaboration of sourcing personnel with internal and external customers and suppliers
- Own your own portfolio of projects that deliver savings and process improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area, such as supply chain, business, or STEM
- Proven ability to think strategically
- Demonstrated experience in negotiation
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical abilities and research skills
- Understanding of enterprise purchasing and planning systems, such as SAP
- Masters Degree preferred in a related field is preferred
- Institute of Supply Management (ISM) certification (CPSM, CPM) or equivalent preferred
- Experience in sourcing globally (Mexico, China, India, and Europe) strongly desired.
- Prior experience in SAP is preferred.
