Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supplier development programs with a focus on Lean Manufacturing
- Conduct and facilitate Kaizen events, Gemba walks, and value stream analyses at suppliers and internally
- Analyze production and quality processes and derive sustainable improvement measures
- Coach suppliers and internal teams in Lean methodologies (e.g., 5S, Standard Work, PDCA)
- Drive improvement initiatives to reduce costs, lead times, and waste
- Define and use KPIs to identify improvement potential and drive sustainable performance improvements
- Support ramp-ups, production stabilization, and escalation management
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end operational excellence
Requirements
- University degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, or a comparable field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Production Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, or Supplier Development
- Strong knowledge of common Lean methodologies and continuous improvement approaches
- Six Sigma Black Belt
- Hands-on experience on the shopfloor and in facilitating workshops
- Analytical strength combined with pragmatic execution skills
- Solid experience in supplier development, ideally in an international environment
- Confident appearance, assertiveness, and strong communication skills
- Excellent English skills and willingness to travel to production sites
