About the role

  • Accounts Payable Specialist managing vendor payables for Togetherwork in a hybrid work environment. Focused on accurate invoice entry and vendor communication for financial success.

Responsibilities

  • The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for accurately and promptly entering customer payables invoices
  • Maintaining and updating vendor information
  • Providing proactive and reactive communication and support to customers, vendors, and internal teams regarding payables information
  • Regularly monitor the payables email inbox and physical mail and ensure payables invoices are entered accurately and timely.
  • Expedite payables invoice entry and alert customers for urgent payables situations.
  • Process vendor address, phone and email updates initiated by notification from a vendor or customer
  • Communicate with customers and vendors to update vendors’ method of routing invoices
  • Reconcile vendor statements to ensure they are balanced
  • Research and reconcile payables issues, including payment adjustments, voids, stop payments, and re-issues
  • Review customer accounts for uncleared or unclaimed vendor payments
  • Communicate with payables vendors to provide information on invoices or payments
  • Obtain copies of W9s from vendors and ensure accurate 1099 processing
  • Provide training to customers and vendors regarding software features and best practices

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Self-motivated, adaptable and agile
  • Associate’s Degree or higher in business related study.
  • Prior experience with accounts payable.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams etc)
  • Comfortable working with technology and productive within a hybrid work environment
