About the role

  • Director/Partner Operations at TMG Consultants driving business development and strategic partnerships in production consulting. Leading a high-performing team and shaping company strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Acquisition: You identify new business opportunities, manage your pipeline and forecast, cultivate long-term client relationships, and take full responsibility for acquiring projects in the Operations domain.
  • Key Account Development: You systematically advance key accounts and expand our network within the DACH industrial sector.
  • Strategic Partnership: You collaborate with C-level executives to develop groundbreaking strategies, support complex production transformation processes, and ensure sustainable impact.
  • Production Consulting: You design and implement programs for Operational Excellence (e.g., Lean, TPM, OEE), Smart/Digital Factory (e.g., MES, analytics, automation), production planning & control, footprint and capacity optimization, etc.
  • Team Leadership & Development: You embody our corporate culture as a leader, expand the Competence Center, and coach the head of the Competence Center in the team's development.
  • Thought Leadership: You position TMG Consultants as a thought leader in production consulting, develop innovative consulting approaches, and represent our company at the highest level.
  • Entrepreneurial Responsibility: You actively contribute to the company's economic success, take growth and profit responsibility for the Operations portfolio, and help shape strategic corporate decisions.
  • Innovation & Excellence: As part of the partners group, you continuously develop our consulting methods, refine our Operations methodology toolbox, and set new standards for excellent client service.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in a senior role within management consulting with demonstrable success in client acquisition and project ownership, focusing on production/operations.
  • Profound knowledge of production as well as strategic thinking and the ability to understand and shape complex interdependencies.
  • Excellent academic degree (doctorate preferred) in a relevant field from a reputable university.
  • Outstanding sales skills (pipeline management, value propositions, proposals & pricing, C-level negotiation) and a solid network.
  • Excellent ability to build and maintain strategic client relationships at C-level.
  • Authentic leadership with the ability to inspire teams and enable peak performance.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills in German and English.
  • Passion for business development and willingness to take responsibility.
