Responsibilities
As a Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in defining and operationalizing our Power Grids strategy and realising our market ambitions.
You will work closely with the other Sales Managers and with the Key Account Management organization (amongst others by being part of Key Account teams), to monitor and anticipate market developments, to enable a coordinated market approach, maintain customer focus and coordinate commercial opportunities.
Utilising market intelligence, you will set the strategic direction for Power Grids services in your focus area in close alignment with the operational delivery team(s) you are connected to ensuring our service continues to be future-fit.
As the Sales Manager focussing on (digital) System Operations for Grid Utilization, Transformation and Congestion Management, you will work closely with the consultants and engineering specialists of the Asset Management, Power System Planning and Digital System Operations team.
Aiming to grow Order Intake (efficiently), you will increase visibility in the market (and internally) and extend our C-level relations in the key customer segment of the Benelux and Israel markets (with a strong focus on The Netherlands).
You are the go-to person when it comes to your area (externally, but also internally). You will act as a thought leader within your area, deliver keynote speeches at conferences, write articles and be highly visible on relevant social media, etc.
A Sales Manager generates leads and acts as the opportunity owner (leading the bid/no bid decision, opportunity development and closing of the deals) for medium to large opportunities.
You will act as a Project Sponsor for the projects where you were the opportunity owner. You will support ‘your’ operational delivery team(s) with setting the priorities during periods of scarcity of resources, in keeping an overview of the complete sales-pipe development and defining actions, including contributing to the development of the Annual Operating Plan.
You will also contribute as a subject matter expert in projects and in doing so, coach consultants and engineers within the teams.
Requirements
**Business Development Expertise:**
Strong skills in business strategy, sales pipeline management and market analysis, with a focus on advisory services
Experience in identifying opportunities, managing bids and increasing market presence
Demonstrated ability to seize and close commercial opportunities and impact business growth and profitability
**Communication & Relationship Building:**
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in networking and customer engagement, with a focus on building long-term relationships
Fluent in Dutch and English
**Strategic Development & Analytical Skills:**
Proven ability to develop strategic roadmaps and advisory services in a fast-paced, changing, complex and ambiguous environment
Strong analytical skills to quickly understand and analyse complex issues and problems, and to understand market trends and make sound judgments
Ability to define market share within own area and set ambitious, realistic targets for growth
**Leadership:**
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Proven ability to coach/mentor and develop professionals
