Civil Field Engineer supporting civil engineering clients with landfill design and construction projects. Involves site development, project management, and team collaboration at Geosyntec.
Responsibilities
Developing and/or reviewing technical drawings, specifications, engineering documents, and analyses for civil design; site development and grading
Completion or review of civil design packages
Providing construction engineering support to large civil-design and landfill projects
Completing construction quality assurance (CQA) tasks for large civil-design and landfill projects
Providing oversight and project management of multi-disciplinary projects and assistance in managing Client Programs
Developing and maintaining strong collaborative internal (i.e., within Geosyntec) and external (i.e., clients and subcontractors) relationships
Mentoring and developing early career engineers
Preparing task orders and proposals including scope of work, cost/fee estimates, schedule, presentations, etc.
Fieldwork: Up to 100% Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or closely related discipline (required)
Minimum 5 years (7+ preferred) of progressive experience in consulting industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
Experience performing civil design and site grading (required)
Experience in task and project management (required)
Strong oral and technical writing skills (required)
Experience with relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil3D and ArcGIS) (preferred)
Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers (preferred)
Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
