About the role

  • Maintenance and operation of mobile and fixed network systems for TIM. Providing technical support and participating in automation processes in network monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing specialized maintenance and operations on mobile and primary fixed network systems, providing L2 and L3 support for the TIM Transport network corrective process.
  • Support the technical training process for monitoring and L1 handling teams, and participate in the automation of monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose and resolve simple and complex failures in transport protection, routing and resilience protocols;
  • Interact with 3rd-level Support, Engineering, OSS and Vendors when required;
  • Perform interventions across layers: BBIP: Access, Aggregation and Core. Routers: PE, Edge, Access, Shadow, Edge Core, Outer and Inner Core; Switches: Aggregation, Access and Distribution; UBB: MSAN, Service Routers for access, distribution and BRAS; WiFi: AP up to WLC; Multiservice Metro Full IP/MPLS Network: Access, Aggregation, Distribution and Core;
  • Perform interventions on equipment: PDH, PTN, SDH, NG-SDH, WDM, ROADM, Metro Ethernet and related technologies;
  • Participate in projects, processes, tools and validation/acceptance (homologation) of new solutions;
  • Prepare incident reports, analyses and inputs for Solution Management;
  • Train 1st and 2nd level teams, leveling knowledge across the area.

Requirements

  • Availability to work shifts (Afternoon), 5x2 schedule with weekend on-call;
  • Knowledge of software, hardware, Linux and Windows; knowledge of network design and architecture;
  • Knowledge of optical fiber, reference levels and test instruments;
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement;
  • Experience with transmission (TX) technologies such as PDH, PTN, SDH, NG-SDH, WDM, ROADM, Metro Ethernet and related technologies;
  • Experience with data protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, VoIP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EAPS, xSTP, Metro Ethernet, UBB and related technologies;
  • Knowledge of the OSS tools used by the company is desirable;
  • Knowledge of Mobile Networks (2G, 3G, 4G) and VAS is desirable;
  • Professional certifications in the area are desirable;
  • University degree (completed).
