About the role
- Sr Solutions Engineer overseeing Live Dynamic Ad Insertion operations at Disney. Ensuring optimal performance and problem-solving in high-volume production environments.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain operational dashboards in Conviva, Datadog, Snowflake, etc.
- Collect key performance metrics (KPM) tracking Live DAI performance and deliver weekly summaries / monthly KPM reports to diverse audience of advertising stakeholders
- Provide live event management support during non-business hours
- Maintain detailed operational documentation for both internal and external consumption
- Investigate complex issues, diagnose product bugs, and resolve requests
- Work with team to develop strategies to automate operational DAI workflows for live event management and addressable linear programming
- Develop strong partnerships with ad sales, account managers, engineering, infrastructure, design, and production teams to deliver strategic and tactical channel objectives
- Assist in creating channel-specific onboarding and cross-training documentation
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital advertising operations or support, preferably with a focus in video advertising technology
- Experience with OTT streaming technologies including HLS and MPEG-DASH
- Strong understanding of digital advertising specs including VAST, VMAP, SCTE, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to technical and unacquainted audiences
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Strong presentation and documentation skills including experience working with Confluence, PowerPoint, and LucidChart
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
