About the role

  • Asset Manager maximizing value through sustainable leasing of seabed for The Crown Estate. Responsible for customer management and leading commercial negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer relationships and implement CRM practices, including know your customer (“KYC”) processes
  • Manage seabed leases and licenses, ensuring landlord & tenant compliance with obligations, providing performance reports using data & analytics tools
  • Lead commercial negotiations and execute legal agreements
  • Understand customer business strategies and drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities through seabed services and products
  • Prioritize health and safety in asset management, promoting a safety culture with customers
  • Incorporate corporate sustainability goals in asset management practices
  • Monitor projects through planning and consenting processes and respond to planning consultations
  • Manage documentation using Sharepoint tools
  • Manage instructions with external lawyers and managing agents
  • Represent The Crown Estate at external events and build stakeholder relationships
  • Coordinate resources across Marine, Rural & Coastal and Corporate teams as required in delivery of asset management responsibilities
  • Manage enquiries in relation to interests in Crown land
  • Manage relationships with government and industry stakeholders (e.g. DESNZ, DSIT, MMO, Ofgem, ESCA, NESO) in support of relevant policy and regulatory developments

Requirements

  • Proficiency in land or property lease and asset management
  • Customer engagement and relationship management
  • Contract management & compliance
  • Understanding of offshore energy and data infrastructure (power cables, pipelines, data cables)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with internal colleagues, external customers, stakeholders, and partners
  • Proficiency in commercial contract negotiation
  • Proficiency in compliance and risk management
  • Understanding of risk assessment and management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Understanding of health and safety practices and regulatory compliance
  • Proven delivery in cross-team working environments
