About the role

  • PMO Analyst managing governance and reporting structures for project portfolios at The Very Group. Ensuring consistency and alignment with strategic objectives in a hybrid model.

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate, timely portfolio-level reports, highlighting risks, issues, dependencies, and progress.
  • Provide analytical and administrative support to high-profile programmes, tracking milestones, budgets, and benefits.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and automate PMO processes, embedding best practice across teams.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders, programme managers, and delivery teams, acting as a trusted advisor on PMO governance.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of portfolio, programme, and project management methodologies (Agile & Waterfall).
  • Experience in a PMO function within a fast-paced corporate environment (retail or financial services preferred).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in JIRA and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Desirable: Resource management experience, Power BI skills, and professional qualifications (PRINCE2, MSP, P3O).
