About the role

  • GL Reporting Accountant responsible for general ledger reporting duties for North American entities at Teleflex. Assisting with US GAAP accounts, financial data presentation, and various analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of US GAAP accounts and month end close
  • Completion and review of Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure the presentation to corporate of financial data on a timely and accurate basis
  • Support the preparation of forecasts and annual plans
  • Prepare detailed Cost Centre analysis
  • Collaborate with Transaction Processing group in Athlone
  • Ensure integrity and SOX compliance of financial, administrative and legal controls
  • Ensure compliance with VAT, tax and fiscal requirements
  • Prepare requested information by internal and external auditors
  • Ensure integrity of internal financial controls
  • Perform ad hoc tasks to support Finance Function
  • Backup for other colleagues where necessary

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Business Degree or Diploma including Accounting
  • Previous Experience in a Shared Service Centre
  • SAP user level experience
  • Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality
  • Excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail with good time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines.
