About the role
- GL Reporting Accountant responsible for general ledger reporting duties for North American entities at Teleflex. Assisting with US GAAP accounts, financial data presentation, and various analyses.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation of US GAAP accounts and month end close
- Completion and review of Balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure the presentation to corporate of financial data on a timely and accurate basis
- Support the preparation of forecasts and annual plans
- Prepare detailed Cost Centre analysis
- Collaborate with Transaction Processing group in Athlone
- Ensure integrity and SOX compliance of financial, administrative and legal controls
- Ensure compliance with VAT, tax and fiscal requirements
- Prepare requested information by internal and external auditors
- Ensure integrity of internal financial controls
- Perform ad hoc tasks to support Finance Function
- Backup for other colleagues where necessary
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Business Degree or Diploma including Accounting
- Previous Experience in a Shared Service Centre
- SAP user level experience
- Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality
- Excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail with good time management skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines.
