About the role
- Network Operations Engineer responsible for maintaining networking technologies and supporting infrastructure at TaskUs. Collaborating on documentation and incident management with a focus on security and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain current network infrastructure
- Create and maintain procedural and operational documentation
- Provide Tier 2 escalation support for the Network Operations Center
- Complete Preventative Maintenance activities, such as code updates & equipment updates
- Identify opportunities for automation, cost savings and service quality improvements
- Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management & Capacity Management
- Collaborate with peers to develop documentation for standard practices
- Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives
- Respond to inquiries from client, staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors
Requirements
- 6 years extensive experience in the support of Networking Technologies
- Strong technical decision-making skills
- Advanced knowledge in the security of enterprise networks
- Advanced level understanding of OSPF, BGP, VPLS and MPLS and various routing technologies
- Advanced knowledge and in-depth experience to troubleshoot all layers of the OSI model
- Experience with NX-OS, IOS, SD-WAN, PANOS, or FTD
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewall technology
- Knowledge of automation tools
- Working knowledge of monitoring tools like ThousandEyes and Solarwinds
- In-depth experience with security best practices
- Strong working knowledge of SSL, and VPN
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
