Responsibilities
Manage and develop existing and new products and/or services; and where applicable, ownership of related customer and colleague journeys.
Develop the product strategy, drive change through Barclays execution teams, make key decisions in the product lifecycle and own associated outcomes for customers, colleagues and the bank.
Contribute or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change.
Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/ processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures.
Monitor key metrics and assess product performance against set goals.
Collaborate with other areas of work for aligned business support to keep up with business activity and strategies.
Requirements
Proven leadership experience with the ability to guide teams and drive high‑quality execution.
Background in marketing or customer engagement, with good understanding of customer behaviour and activation.
Great stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders up to Director level.
Experience in defining and shaping strategy within a commercial or product‑focused environment.
Great business acumen with the ability to interpret performance drivers and make informed decisions.
Solid understanding of customer metrics and how to use them to improve engagement and outcomes.
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel for analysis, storytelling, and executive‑level communication.
Experience in proposition development, particularly within customer‑focused or product‑led environments.
Background in retail savings, with understanding of market drivers, customer behaviours, and competitive positioning.
Experience working with retail products, ideally spanning product design, management, or lifecycle activities.
