About the role

Responsibilities
- Writing and editing newsletter copy (editorials, intros, teasers, recommendations) in a clear, concise and journalistically compelling style
- Coordinating with newsletter authors, providing targeted and constructive feedback
- Overseeing newsletter production, product and distribution; quality assurance prior to sending
- Identifying relevant newsletter topics and translating them into reader-focused formats
- Optimizing reach and reader retention
- Analyzing metrics (open rate, click rate, retention, unsubscribes) and communicating insights to the editorial team and publisher
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in digital journalism, ideally with a focus on newsletters or audience development
- Experienced in research, copy work and condensing complex topics
- Confident in writing clear, concise and attention-grabbing subject lines as well as journalistic formats
- Editorial accuracy: fact-checking, source evaluation and legal sensitivity
- Collaborative working style: close cooperation with editorial, product and sales teams
- Willingness to work flexible hours adapted to newsroom life
- Advantageous: experience designing and managing successful newsletter products
- Data and analysis skills, particularly with newsletter tools
- Affinity for audience engagement and community building
