Responsibilities

• Writing and editing journalistic pieces on health policy, with a clear focus on the federal level
• Striving for exclusive, highly credible and in-depth reporting without clickbait or sensationalism
• Analyzing and evaluating legislative and other regulatory developments
• Conducting in-depth research, developing story ideas, and building a network of sources
• Implementing your own ideas for varied, multi-layered reporting with significant creative freedom and high personal responsibility
• Participating in the team's rotating production of the daily specialist briefing "Tagesspiegel Background Health & E‑Health"

Requirements

• Journalistic experience and solid reporting skills
• Independence and objectivity, with a strong commitment to quality
• Strong interest in political and regulatory processes
• Enjoy writing for a specialist audience including parliaments, ministries, NGOs, associations, academia and industry
• Interest in being part of a highly collaborative team
