About the role
- Network Administrator I supporting the Supreme Court of Nevada's network infrastructure. Hands-on role with cloud and hybrid network management responsibilities in Las Vegas or Carson City.
Responsibilities
- Assist with configuring, administering, and maintaining LAN, WAN, wireless, virtual, and cloud network environments.
- Perform hands-on administration of cloud networking components in AWS and Azure, including virtual networks, subnets, routing, and connectivity services.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and alerts across on-premises and cloud environments; escalate issues as appropriate.
- Perform routine network maintenance, patching, and updates under supervision.
- Support hybrid network connectivity between on-premises systems and cloud platforms.
- Assist with firewall rule changes, VPN connectivity, network segmentation, and cloud network security controls.
- Follow network security standards, configuration baselines, and access control policies.
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, procedures, and configuration records.
- Provide technical support for network-related issues.
Requirements
- One to three years of experience in network administration or infrastructure support.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
- Hands-on experience supporting cloud networking in AWS and/or Azure environments.
- Foundational understanding of network security, access controls, and segmentation.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and follow established procedures.
