About the role

  • Network Administrator overseeing installation and maintenance of communication networks. Working with data and voice infrastructure in a high-compliance government setting.

Responsibilities

  • Installation, configuration, maintenance of data and voice communication networks
  • Manage network infrastructure hardware (switches, routers, firewalls)
  • Provide Level 2 and 3 incident response for network outages
  • Implement and enforce network security policies
  • Monitor network performance and apply optimization strategies

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of core networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP)
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting network security devices
  • Proven ability with network analysis tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds)
  • Australian Citizen with active TSPV security clearance
