Responsibilities
Monitoring, maintaining and improving the corporation’s network infrastructure
First/second level network support for corporate network switches, routers, wireless access points, wireless controllers, firewall and VPN appliances
Documenting troubleshooting procedures
Collecting network statistics and reporting on network health
Receiving trouble tickets from Network Operation Centre
Troubleshooting network connectivity or infrastructure related problems
Providing root cause analysis on any network outage
Working with network monitoring tools
Monitoring network infrastructure and responding to alarms
Participating in production changes and turnovers across network infrastructure
Creating trouble cases with vendors and service providers
Reconfiguring replacement hardware and coordinating installations with regional staff
Collaborating with technical staff
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in computer science or other appropriate field
Three (3) years of proven experience performing network operations duties
Proficiency with Cisco Internetworking (switching/routing)
Proficiency with various Cisco products
Proficiency with Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR and NX-OS
Proficiency with various network protocols
Proficiency with firewall concepts and load balancers
Proficiency with cloud computing and virtualization concepts
Proficiency with Cisco wireless controllers and access points
Proficiency with Fortinet and Juniper firewall systems
Proficiency with network monitoring systems and technologies
